In residence with Anna Gjerluf
We recently spent a day photographing the private home of Anna Gjerluf, interior designer and co-founder of the Copenhagen-based studio Gjerluf Halprin. Known for their calm, material-driven interiors, the studio works across residential and hospitality projects with a focus on tactile qualities, warmth, and spatial clarity.

Anna’s home is one of the studio’s own projects — a space that reflects their design values in an understated and personal way. The atmosphere is quiet and intentional, yet relaxed: natural light moves easily through open rooms, materials are left honest, and objects are placed with a sense of ease rather than perfection.

The shoot unfolded slowly, room by room, capturing the tone of the space rather than staging it. Plaster-washed walls, softened wood elements, and curated furniture pieces set a gentle rhythm throughout the home, while small details — fresh stems in a low vessel, stacks of design books, a favourite chair near the window — revealed traces of daily life.
