UNPACK WHEN DELIVERED

Unroll your rug as soon as possible after it’s delivered to help reduce creases or pressure marks from being folded in packing.

VACUUMING

Do not use a vacuum with a brush, a rotating motor or anything that can pull and damage the yarn.

Woven rugs: Vacuum regularly but don’t overdo it. Too much vacuuming can wear down the fibers more quickly.

Shaggy and partly long pile rugs: Vacuum regularly, especially in the beginning, to help reduce shedding.Use a low-power setting with a flat nozzle attachment, the wrong vacuum attachments can damage the rug.

STAINS

Tackle stains right away.

  • Avoid bleach, harsh chemicals, and scrubbing as they will discolor or damage the fibers.
  • Dry stains: Gently scrape with a blunt object followed by vacuuming. If needed, gently use water (and mild soap) to bad of any remaining stains. Be careful to not damage the fibers.
  • Wet stains: Absorb with paper towels or towel. Dab with a clean cloth, mild soap (if
needed), and lukewarm water. Don’t soak the rug—too much moisture can cause
    damage.

Avoid rubbing the stains and be careful not to use too much water.
Contact a professional rug cleaner for tough stains.

SHEDDING

With a new rug it's normal with some shedding. For flat woven rugs, this should subside after a few weeks. Shaggy and partly long pile rugs tend to shed more and for a longer period. Vacuum regularly, especially in the beginning, to help reduce shedding.

SPROUTING

If a single tuft extends beyond the surface, simply cut it off. Do not pull.

FURNITURE MARKS

Heavy furniture may leave lasting impressions, so reposition from time to time if possible.
